Viva Vintage

Just a quick one, just purchased the book 'Vintage Fashion' by Zanrda Rhodes for my final year project.
If you get a chance to pick it up do so its such an interesting book about the history of Vintage fashion from 1900-1980's.

‘Vintage, what wonders this word now conjures up when linked with fashion! A magical harvest of wearable art! A wine from the past season that must be dipped into, sampled and tasted; old yes but the garment is a survivor of the twentieth century and as such has become a classic of importance’ 

Black Milk

I have fallen in love with Black Milk's collection of leggings. Insane, crazy and beautifully bizarrre.
Although incredibly out of my price range, the leggings are so unique I just have to have a pair!! It's amazing how you cannot just stick with a simple pair of black leggings anymore, the more daring the better, whether that be jelly fish or giraffe print. It's crazy how something so simple has been turned on its head yet again... thats fashion for you. These simple pieces are amazing and you have to check it out. www.blackmilkclothing.com

Sports Fashion

After seeing a great shoot in German Vogue, I have decided to experience with sports wear in a fashion shoot for my uni project. Combining fashion with casual sports wear, encorporating catwalk fashion looking at Alexander Wang's a/w 2011 collection and making puffer jackets extreme. Nike blazers, insane leggins and sports jackets are my inspiration and can't wait to put it all together. Photoshoot images to be uploaded soon...

So to kick off my first ever blog post, I thought I would start with my very first published article. Although only for the Reading Chronicle's magazine 'Time for Me' i'm hoping that this will help steer me in the right direction for an even better experience.
